Whenever the Church turns out apostate towards Jesus Christ, the most important thing is to recognize the distinction that failings of those who profess faith in Christ do not translate into failings of Jesus Christ. So then, when you Chuck the Church out, holding on to Jesus means spiritual balance, spiritual health, and opportunity for spiritual growth are maintained.

The Church doubles as the Body of Christ only when she is in obedience to her Lord Jesus Christ. This is the reason Jesus declares in Revelation 3:16 that He can spew an apostate Church out of His mouth.
