What will you do with your ‘Yacht’ the rest of 2022?

If the light comes on in your innovation box, it is time to unmoor your Yacht and set sail. Whenever it is your light comes on, will you seize the moment?

Russian Oligarchs have had trouble berthing their Yachts at different harbors around the world. If Nigeria wasn’t so far off, I would let them know that, in presence of any edict to the contrary, it only would take a couple of thousand dollars to obtain royalty treatment in a Nigerian harbor. I also would let them in on the secret, to wit, for a few thousand dollars more, they could obtain attestation from an authority of the Nigerian Government as, ‘Friends of Nigeria’.

Turns out, just when you need a country which does not frown at corruption that is harmless to other members of society, there does not seem to be any in close proximity.

The accusation against Russian Oligarchs?

Well, that they have made most of their money through the Russian Government, as such through Putin. Never mind that it was Western Consultants who, in course of Perestroika, advised the sale of those assets to former members of the Politburo of the defunct USSR. Never mind also the fact that, as is well documented in Rubin (2016), there exist lots of Oligarchs — persons who live off cronyism and rent seeking in relation to Government — in the United States of America.
