It has been a Swell 2022

Subsequent to the USA’s decision to invade Vietnam in 1965, college students in the USA would pour out into the streets to protest what they considered the USA’s foray into imperialism. At the timing at which the USA’s effort at imperialism would fail, resulting in negotiations over the future of Vietnam and compromise, that is, adoption of a mix of capitalism and communism by Vietnam, those college kids, some of whom had graduated, rejoiced. They rejoiced, because whether, or not it is your country of origin, or country of citizenship, or country of residence, imperialism is wrong. The resulting compromise is the foundation of the beneficial trade relations which subsist today between Vietnam and the USA.

It is wrong for anyone to assert that, just because it is his or her country that is being imperialistic, that imperialism is justifiable.

Fast forward to 2022, and the USA, Germany, NATO, and most of Western Europe assert, imperialistically that they have concluded, to wit, Russia is a second rate world power, as such needs to be exposed and relegated. I assume that, subsequent to the exposure, they plan to go on to demand that Russia be stripped of it’s veto power at the United Nations, a demand which (had to clear my throat just as I penned these words, could just be a coincidence) I am very certain will make the world a much safer space for you and I. As proof, they propped up Ukraine as a stooge, as the country that would demonstrate that Russia indeed is, relative to the USA, a second rate world power. Never mind that, at timing of commencement of the imperialist agenda, only Russia could transport U.S. astronauts to the International Space Station.

An intending Imperialist Power which cannot transport it’s own astronauts to it’s International Space Station is an exercise in hubris and contradiction.

Consequent to Russia’s invasion of the Ukraine, much like the Nazis of the Second Reich, the propaganda began to pour in, namely: Russia could not handle it’s logistics; it’s tanks were breaking down; it’s army was demoralized, and on and on it went.
