I never had any interest in reading Nietzsche’s work and still have not gotten an opportunity. Someone discussed, however, how in Nietzsche’s writing he opined that people who hate others define themselves by what they are not or by what the group they hate is all about or stands for. Something along those lines. This of course implies lack of focus on self awareness, self actualization, or self discovery by those who hate.

If Nietzsche wrote that, he definitely had some insight into human nature. Since I read that expose, which I hope is true, I have become willing to explore Nietzsche’s work if I can get around to it. So yes, sometimes what we do not anticipate can interest us may turn out to hold out some modicum of interest after all.
