I am not a Mormon. I dare say, however, that some people leave church because church services become about anything but about Jesus Christ.

Christian Scriptures declare church services are for encouraging, admonishing, and if necessary correcting of one another. When church services no longer allow room for believers to interact with one another, with interaction mostly of a preachy nature, church services lose flavor desired by Jesus Christ.

Church services are supposed to be for fellowship of believers not places for sitting down of the many to be preached to by the few.

I am not advocating for a grabbing for the preacher’s microphone, I am saying church needs to be more about believers fellowshipping with each other — about believers talking to, listening to, and loving each other — as opposed to a forum for preaching.
