I am divorced and I do not have my four kids, who all are teenagers with me. While they have spent some time with me over the course of the last few years (a contentious divorce that thankfully is on the verge of being worked out), it is not nearly enough for me to be able to really get to know them or help shape them (with their cooperation of course) into the righteous young men Jesus desires them to be. While I provided them with a good Christian foundation prior to the end of my marriage, they were all still quite young at the time. I am not sure how much of those impressions remain on their minds.

What I do now intermittently is plead the blood of Jesus over them, declaring that our Lord Jesus Christ will have mercy on them, such that they find their way to choosing of Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. And that if they were not to choose Jesus Christ, they would at least desire to live lives that are morally upright.

Since it is the will of our Lord Jesus Christ that our children get to know Him, I am confident the Holy Spirit will not allow my children devolve to evil, will leave them no peace or joy until they at the very least choose moral uprightness, or better still receive Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. Amen.
