I agree with your caveats in principle in so far as it is a fact, and stated as truth in Christian Scripture that it is better for people to become Christians in response to eloquence of the Holy Spirit than in response to mere arguments or oratory eloquence (1Corinthians 1:17; 1Corinthians 2:12–13).

When I refer to intellectual arguments I refer mostly to our need of assailing the assumption that evidence for evolution is so kosher it can be viewed as fact not a theory.

If we do not assail the misconception that evolution is fact using the same platforms — history, archaeology and science — we cannot reach the current generation.

The misconception today is that in light of the scientific evidence, only those who just believe can live by faith in God. It is a fact that this is not true. We are not, however, engaging on this matter in a concerted manner with focus on constructive engagement and enlightenment.

If we do not address this issue, we appear inauthentic in our faith.
