Faith is not enough…
One of the most salient truths of Christian Scriptures is the reality that faith is not enough, never will be enough for securing of salvation in the name of Jesus. It does not matter whether a pastor, elder, deacon, or the Christian you most respect says otherwise, truth is, by declaration of The Father and the Lord Jesus, it is impossible that faith alone is enough for securing of salvation.
Just my opinion or Truth as it is in Jesus?
If my assertion in the preceding paragraph is true, absent any demand for interpretation on my part, and absent any ambiguity in Christian Scriptures, the Writings will declare that, in of itself, faith in Jesus is not enough for securing of salvation in God.
In stated respect, two (well perhaps, three) sets of Scriptures suffice for establishment of the reality that faith in Jesus does not suffice for securing of salvation in the name of Jesus (words in brackets to follow interposed for arrival at an ‘amplified rendition’ of Christian Scriptures).
Jesus then said to the Jews who had believed in Him, “If you continue in my word (if you obey my commandments), you are truly my disciples, and you will know the truth (the truth that you as yet did not know at the time you exercised faith to obey), and the truth (that you then come to know) will make you free — John 8:31–32.
