Do You Assess, or Attempt to Understand?
Regardless of your spiritual creed, so long as they relate to practical matters of life, and only require application of reasoning for deducing of reasonableness, it is possible to learn something of value for life from stories or contexts that emanate from alternate spiritual creeds.
True spirituality first and foremost is about principles for practical matters of life. Viewed within this context, we all have need of spirituality.
In this post, using interactions between Jesus and His disciples, I generate insights about an important difference in outcomes between attempts at assessing others in course of daily interactions, and attempts at arrival at understanding of others. I refer to attempts at assessing as, ‘assessments’, and attempts at arrival at understanding, as ‘understanding’.
For those who read and already are Christians, I provide references that can be checked for accuracy of depictions and events. Veracity of the discussion, however, is implicit, self evident, does not require checks for accuracy.
