A better way to phrase this is to say a believer in Jesus Christ must believe that God has plans for bringing good out of all of our circumstances.
A Christian must not love ‘evil’ circumstances, only must believe there is good planned out of the evil circumstances (Romans 8:28).
“Be subject then to God; stand up against the devil, and he will flee from you” (James 4:7)
is the command to believers in Jesus Christ.
A believer in Jesus Christ never loves situations in which the devil is attempting to steal, to kill, and to destroy. The command from God is:
“Be self-controlled and alert. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. Resist him, standing firm in the faith…”
We must not love that which we are supposed to resist.
